Three Arrested in Emmonak Assault

troopers, alaska state troopersTroopers arrested three men in Emmonak after an alleged assault and struggle overnight that injured two people and a trooper.

According to a trooper dispatch, three Emmonak men, Doran Jennings, Jereith Jimmy, and Karl Kelly were drinking homebrew. Troopers say they assaulted a neighbor with a crowbar, which caused internal injuries and sent him to Bethel for emergency medical care.

They write that Jennings held a gun to the man’s head and threatened to kill him. Jennings also allegedly assaulted a relative and threatened to kill them if they called the cops. Troopers say Jennings fired his weapon four times, striking the wall next to a person.

Troopers arrested Jennings after a struggle. They also chased Jimmy and arrested him after a struggle. They arrested Kelly late Thursday morning.
