The K300 race committee has decided to move the first 50 miles of the race route from the Kuskokwim to overland trails because of ice on the river. The change has the committee considering whether or not to postpone the Akiak Dash. Race manager, Zach Fansler, says they should have their decision by tonight. He sat down with KYUK’s former news director, Angela Denning, to talk about the details of this year’s event.
