A 22-year-old Hooper Bay resident was convicted of one count of third degree sexual abuse of a minor, in the Bethel superior court last month.

Raypete Mann was sentenced to three years in prison followed by three years of probation. He’s also required to register as a sex offender.

Charging documents say Mann sexually abused a minor in Hooper Bay in 2013, when he was 20 years old.

Court documents say Mann was originally charged with sexual abuse of a minor in the second and third degree, but the second degree charge was dropped after a plea agreement this summer.
