Bethel City Council Meets On Liquor, Pool & More

At tonight’s city council meeting the council will hear the North West Company defend their application for a liquor license. The council will also discuss new plans for the YK Regional Aquatic Training and Health Center.

Mayor Rick Robb will give an update on the fitness center’s progress. City Manager Ann Capela will work on entering into an amended contract with USA Pools. She will then review the 2016 operation plans for the center.

City Lobbyist Mary Sattler will present a Legislative Recap.

Council Member Chuck Herman will express support for changing the name of the Wade Hampton Census Area to a locally relevant name.

They will finish by going into executive session for the Bethel Packing and Delivery overdue tax delinquency, presented by Council Member Heather Pike.

The Council will meet in its regular meeting Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall. The public is invited to attend. The meeting will be aired live on 640 AM and audio can be live streamed at kyuk.org.
