Aniak Man Charged with Felony Sexual Abuse of a Minor

troopers, alaska state troopersAn Aniak man is facing ten felony sexual abuse of a minor charges. 69-year-old Golga Kelila was arrested Tuesday after a trooper investigation. The abuse of a relative began over a year ago, according to interviews done by Trooper David Russell.

The victim recalls at least 18 instances of abuse. Kelila had been drinking during some, but not all of the abuse, according to the trooper affidavit.

Kelila was transported to the Yukon Kuskokwim Correctional Center in Bethel. He was arraigned this week in Aniak with the three first-degree sexual abuse of a minor charges and seven 2nd degree counts. The next court hearing is September 5th.

Kelila has prior convictions, including assault.
