About two-dozen Bethel residents gathered at the ONC Multipurpose Building, also known as the Old Bowling Alley, Friday evening to discuss how to get rid of illegal drug dealers and bootleggers.

The Bethel Legislative Office was packed Monday afternoon as Alaska’s Lieutenant Governor, Mead Treadwell lead a hearing on Ballot Measure 2, a Marijuana initiative that will appear on the November 4th ballot.

Mead Treadwell is in Bethel to attend the public hearings on the Marijuana Initiative and the Minimum Wage Initiative that will be on the November ballot. Anyone may listen in or testify at 855.463.5009, or listen on-line here. The lieutenant governor was able to stop by KYUK Monday morning to talk about the initiatives and welcomes the public to join in on the discussion here in Bethel. The hearings will be at the Legislative Information Office located at 301 Willow St. in Bethel.
